The not-so-complete Beyond
My BEYOND is coming to town!!!
They will be holding their concert on 8 November (MY BIRTHDAY!!! So coincidental) at Singapore Indoor Stadium. I am still pondering if I should go leh cos it's really expensive and MOST IMPORTANTLY, they do not come as a full band this time. But I really really really like them leh. They are my longest surviving idol so far. So you tell me la... How How How???
I could still remember how I fell in love with them. When I say fell in love hor, I am not exaggerating. I really fell for them that time especially Ka Keung.
Let me tell you how I realised BEYOND. The story goes like this...
I used to like those angmo boybands like Boyzone la, BSB la, 911 la, Human Nature la, blah blah blah la... in short, those handsome pretty angmo I all like la :Þ
Then on Vesak Day 1996 (I can still remember very vividly), I happened to switch on my TV and it was showing this one hour special BEYOND mini concert. Watched them perform with their guitars and stuff and I was mesmerised. They are so very man wor!!! That's when my taste of guys changed from BOYS to MEN.
I was so crazy about them that I bought all their albums I could find within a few months. You must bear in mind that I was still a student then. I dun have much money then so I really scrimped and saved just to buy all those albums.
Got this one time I gave up my favourite fishball mee (sold by Jin Tai Seconday School auntie) for 5 consecutive days just to buy their Live and Basic concert LD. I managed to buy the LD in the end but I never get to eat my fishball mee again. The auntie was killed in a car accident.
I was upset. Firstly cos I would not be able to have the chance to enjoy auntie's food. Secondly cos I know that auntie personally mah. Eat until I know lo. I always become friends with the aunties and uncles that sell me food de cos if I like that store, I can eat the same dish for a few months in a row one... kakakaka...
Alamak... side track. Back to BEYOND.
Ya, the level of my siaoness for BEYOND is indescribable la. Their first concert in Singapore (after Ka Kui's death) was in 1996. I became their fan only after the concert so did not manage to attend.
Waited for a LOOONNNNGGGG 9 years for them to come back. They held their second concert in Singapore in October 2005. How could I miss it right? Bought the most expensive one and had a great time there. That was supposingly to be their last concert, so as they claimed.
But now, they are back and with only two members somemore. A bit disappointing but still they are part of BEYOND leh... so you tell me la. To go or not to go?
Their most expensive ticket is sold at S$188 leh. Plus $3 sistic charge and that's a total of S$191 leh. Very expensive wor. I can buy dunno how many scrapbook materials with that amount lo.
Hiyahz.... really headache leh.
