I have never really liked China. As far as possible, I try suppressing this feeling of mine and not making it too obvious... (I dun think I manage to hide it well though :Þ)
But after reading the newspapers and the following article, I cannot tahan anymore la. Got to blog about this. (A bit late cos my dear teacher has already blogged about it lo... kudos to you for being so prompt :Þ)

Is image really that important that they can completely foresake a poor kid's feeling??? How can they be so "shallow"? Haven't they heard of this phrase "never judge a book by its cover"?
Being a mummy myself. I cannot imagine my QiQi in little Yang Peiyi's situation. That seriously is going to hurt the poor little girl's feeling really badly.

What's the point of getting the best-looking people to represent the face of China when the whole world knows how MOST Chinese look. It's sad for me to say this (cos I am a Chinese myself) BUT I personally feel that Chinese are the ugliest among all races.
A simple example using their pretty little girl - Lin MiaoKe. I dun deny that she is pretty and cute.
(Otherwise she would not be chosen to be the one performing on stage le right???) BUT when you compare her to an ordinary caucasian girl (see below), is she really that cute???

I dun mean to compare. My point is... most Chinese are born with flat nose, single eyelid (for some) and no real outstanding features. This is so unlike the Caucasians, Malays, Indians and the blacks whose features are so much nicer than Chinese.
[P/S: Of course, for those Chinese with extremely sharp features or dun look Chinese, they are either mixed or obviously tampered upon de la...]
So if it is a known fact that Chinese are born not-so-pretty, then why is China still doing this? They can get the best looking Chinese to participate in the opening and closing ceremony (I bet their closing ceremony is going to be as spectacular as their opening de - Sibei want face) BUT they can't change the fact that Chinese are not as good looking wat.
Another random pic taken from the Net. Eurasians/Caucasians have deeper features as compared to Asians. In terms of looks, Asians are not as good looking as them.
Want more examples... Just look at Chinese athletes lo. You tell me... where got pretty or handsome de??? Please do not tell me that their super diver Guo Jing Jing is pretty lo... She is absolutely NOT at all pretty. Plus she has got a pair of 'feng yan' (which I hated most) lagi ugly...
Those people who say this kind of face is pretty... well... this goes to show that beauty indeed lies in the eyes of the beholder. And that the beholder must either be seriously short-sighted or nearly blind.
On the other hand, I can easily spot Miss Pretty and Mr Handsome from other countries.
I can't quote you names of Miss Pretty la cos I never bother to remember their names.... hahahaha... I mean what for right... make myself jealous only....
However, I can quote you with some Mr Handsome's names wor... wahahaha... go check them out yourself ba (I did check their profile via the Offical website of Olympics. They not photogenic la. If you see them on TV, they are actually very handsome de... :Þ)
