Yuling gave birth to a handsome baby boy this morning (100% Yuling's boy cos he looks exactly like Yuling). But dunno what happened to me...
I actually forgot to take picture of the baby boy!!!! SANG NAO JING!I reached NUH around 2.30pm. Yuling was sound asleep and she looked real shacked lo. I think my dragging of chair woke her up and she managed to talk to us (me and Yuzhen) despite feeling really tired.
She relived her moments of 'torture' and told us the pain and agony she went through in the labour ward. I thought I went through the worst la. But I think Yuling suffered more.
Me only had to suffer 12 hours of pain before QiQi came to this world. I had my epidural so the pain was greatly reduced (but still pain la). Eventually I managed to give birth naturally without much problem.
But poor Yuling... She suffered for the full 17 hours before gynae announced that she was ready to give birth. She had her epidural too (this is a must la...) but she could still feel the pain. The worst was yet to come.
Yuling pushed for 1 and a half hour but her little baby was not co-operative. Her gynae then told her that the baby was not facing the correct way. This obstructed the baby from coming out. So they had no choice but to go for C-section instead. Yuling got so upset with it. After enduring the pain for soooo long... she ended up doing C-section. That's double pain, I tell you. Poor Yuling. No wonder she looked so shacked.
That's not all lo. Throughout the agonising 17 long hours, she had no food at all. She must be hungry like siao lo... cos I remembered me asking for food in the labour ward... wahahaha... really very hungry.
As if not hungry enough, Yuling's gynae told her that she could not have any intake until 5pm the same afternoon. So that's a total of 26 hours of no food!!! Hiyoh... already in pain liao still cannot drink and cannot eat... Ke lian de Yuling.
Yuling said she dare not go through this the second time. She really admire our mothers for giving birth to us without the use of epidural.
I totally agree with her on this. How could our mothers give birth to us without using epidural??? The contraction is really unbearable lo. Jennifer aka Ah Ma once told me that my tolerance level of pain is high. I myself think so too leh... but when it comes to birth contraction, I really buay tahan. So my tolerance level not that high afterall as compared to those powerful women who did not use epidural during delivery.
Whatever it is, women are really the best thing God has ever created... wahahahaha... but why God only allows women to give birth??? Men must also do something wat...
I once read or watched from somewhere that it is impossible for a man to be pregnant cos there is no womb (to 'store' the baby) and no umbilical cord (for the baby to receive the necessary nutrients). But I thought nothing is impossible in this world de? If men can travel to Mars and animals can be cloned, I'm sure those nothing-to-do scientists can come up with ways to get the men fertilised...
Back to giving birth. My friend, Huixian aka Queen of Siao La La is up next for delivery. I wish her a smooth delivery then. Come to think of it, 95% of my Secondary School friends are married with kids le.
How time flies. 想当年we were carrying big bags and thick files to school. Now, we are all MaMas le.
