No la... it's near my house mah and Yuling & Huixian were there that day too. And coincidentally... my dear Mrs Chee was there too!!! What a small world!

My mummy and my daughterWith two pregnant aunties, Yuling (in pink) and Huixian (in stripes). I took so long to upload these photos that you can consider this pic of Yuling obsolete le la... She already given birth le. Now back to original chio bu shape... :) Look at Qi's face... Is she scare of the moo moo??
Jair Jair... that's me!!!

For those who want to have babies in future... see below. Babies are not always fun and cheery to be with. When they throw their tantrums, they are very... extremely... utterly
... ANNOYING!!!

Naughty QiQi throwing tantrum. Crying and screaming her lungs out!
Very naughty... buay tahan
Carry also cannot stop her from crying
Fear not! 神奇tut tut to the rescue! Yeah!! Qi finally shut up. Thank you, the creator of tut tut.

Qi, looking happy in her pram. She is happy so long as she is outside la. Hong sim girl Got pose somemore
“你在拍我吗?”
Ah Ma's ma carrying QiQi. How time flies. I was in Europe with Ah Ma's ma when Qi was a foetus inside me. Look how big Qi is now.
Back home. I know I know. My shirt hor lagi cannot make it and my mummy never tell me jiu snap this pic. Look at Qi's cheeky and very naughty face.

7 June 2008

One of the very rare occassions that we din bring QiQi out cos me went out to visit Yuling at hospital and Ah Long went to work. When I came home, Qi had this weird but super funny expression on her face....

Super funny... cannot stand it. The "pig" face
My PaPa and Qi. Look at Qi's face! Hiyo... hilarious la

21 June 2008

My mummy and daddy went Genting... yesh AGAIN!!! So Ah Long had to take one day leave to accompany me and Qi. I couldn't handle her alone... hehehe... We went to Yuling's house in the afternoon to see her and little Shin Ler for a while (ermm... stayed there for about 3 hours.. hehe) then to the Esplanade thinking of capturing some beautiful shots there.

哪里知道 got NDP rehearsal I think. Got those marching troops la, fighter jets la, blah blah blah... so many ppl and so many distraction, cannot get good pictures lo... See it for yourself ba.

Qi and Long behind AirForce troop??? I dunno... which group wear white uniform de?
Very SuaKu Ah Ting looking up at the sky at those fighter planes. This is not my first time seeing those planes la... (I have been to NDP twice hor... Thanks to Mengru). But I just can't help but to feel excited whenever I hear these planes fly past....
I will feel super patriotic when it's near National Day de lo. That's the only time of the year that I would sing the National Anthem... hehe... Every year I ballot for the NDP tickets and every year I do not manage to get it. This year is no exception. Damn angry. Kelong one leh... so many years liao... queue up also my turn already lo... Come on leh... give it to me next year can??? Lousy Daddy's photography. Blur blur and no focus.
At least I managed to get the 'Flyer' lo

22 June 2008

I once saw an ang mo baby sleeping inside the basin and I found it very cute. Suddenly, the idea of putting Qi into my basin struck me. With Ah Long's help, we filled the basin (unfortunately a very shallow one) with warm water and put Qi in. Ta-da.... she loved it lo. Look at the expressions on her face. Hiyoh... all my pain and sickness vanish when I look at these photos...

Qi having a splashing good time. I would scrap these photos in no time. Too cute to miss Bo Gay Qiqi
Smiling at herself.. hiyoh... feel like squeezing her realllllll tight lo
Qi playing water with her leg and taking photo at the same time. Got same capability as me wor... can multi-task... Kakakakaka
We bought some ducks for her to play during bathing time. Those cheapo ducks... all cannot flood de... nvm la... Qi is still very happy mah... hehehe...
Later in the afternoon, we brought QiQi to wahahahaha... ViVo City again!!! But but but... wait... we went to HarbourFront instead la... wah... HarbourFront has changed a lot. I think it's going parents' direction. Mostly babies things on their highest floor.

We found this baby swimming program there. It's very cute la... but there's a price to pay for being cute. Very expensive. $108 for 4 swimming sections. It's supposed to be good for babies' brains or wat la... Those with babies, you may want to take a look at this program at http://www.babyswimming.com.sg/

We also found a super big "MotherCare" there. Ah Long bought a bodysuit for QiQi. Miracle right??? Wahahahahahaha... cos the wordings on the bodysuit says "Daddy is the best" ma. There is no "Mummy is the best" lo... cannot believe it!
Just right outside "MotherCare", there is this little playground for kids. First time Qi came into contact with these 'jackpots' machines (eat $$$ only).... hehehe

We put Qi on this Barney machine. She, being her first time on such machine, couldn't wait to touch and feel whatever that was around her that she stood up on her own. Hiyo... me and Long were like shocked to see her standing on her own... quite stable somemore. Quickly snapped a few pictures before her legs gave way.

So clever....

Irresistibily cute!

A closer look at how Qi stand

That man... arghhhh.... super extra... I have to post this pic cos others all blurred la... This is the best le... pathetic Qi with Daddy Qi and Mummy. Judging by Qi's look, she doesn't like to sit on these wor...
Qi with Snoopy. Finally caught her looking at the camera
Inside "MotherCare". Super chair. Can turn 360 degree with toys at every angle de. Qi likes it but not her dad... wahahaha... cos it costs S$280! 吓死人喔!

Super sick week

This is Ah Ting reporting her latest health condition.

It's 25 June 2008, 9.36pm now. I'm still feeling okie at the moment. But my fever comes on and off so I'm not sure if it will come back later tonight.

I have been sick since Monday. And I mean super sick. I have never been so sick before.

Woke up on Monday feeling a bit painful in the gastric. Thought it was the late dinner the night before which resulted in the pain. Went to work still. The pain became unbearable in the afternoon. Felt super chilled in the office. Head super heavy. Still, I 'ren' until 3.30pm where I could no longer tolerate anymore. I asked to see a doctor.

The stupid useless doctor. All he did was asked me about my condition. I told him
(1) gastric pain
(2) whole body aching
(3) fever
(4) feel cold

He then pushed a louya thermometer into my mouth. Without waiting for the thermometer's 'tut tut' sound, he took it away and said "No fever". Then he said he would give me some panadol (just in case) and body ache medicine. His next question is the best lo.

"So you want MC for today or tomorrow?"

I feel like showing my middle finger man. It's was around 4pm then. I was about to 'peng sang' liao. All I wanted was to go back home and lay on my bed. If I said MC for tomorrow, that would mean I had to tolerate for another two more hours. I simply couldn't lo. If I said MC for today, then I super lugi. It's already 4pm... and what makes that stupid doctor thinks that one-day MC is enough? Hiyah... in the end, I bobian la... Took MC for the same day and went home.

I think I can become a doctor. One day MC is really not enough for me lo. Throughout the night, my bones ached like hell and I felt super cold (no fan no aircon). I had my quilt covered up to my neck. I could feel my body burning. I know I got fever but I dunno my temperature (cos at home no thermometer).

The next morning, it became so bad that Ah Long drove me to SGH (cos all my symptoms coincide with dengue). Before entering A&E, I had to have my temperature taken. 39.3 lo. That stupid doctor still said I no fever.

After waiting for nearly 4 hours, the doctor couldn't give me a specific answer. My blood platelets is normal but the symptoms I'm having are those of dengue. Doctor din rule out the possibility of contracting dengue. Gave me 3 days MC to rest at home. If conditions dun improve by 26/6, I will have to do a blood test again.

My condition din improve at all. I still feel feverish and chilled. I slept for almost the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday and I totally have no strength to even sit up. I keep lying on my bed, turning and tossing cos my bones ache la... so I desperately need to find a position that can ease my pain.

Never in my life have I been so sick before (minus the time when I did my operation and had infection la... that one dun consider cos that's bcos of operation ma). Is it becos really old le... the 'di kang li' inside me not as strong as before le? I have taken 12 panadols for the past 2 days but the fever just keeps coming back.

It's 12.20am now (cos I chatted with my friends on msn while blogging la.. not I slow hor). I still feel okie. Hopefully the fever dun come back. Please la... dun come back... I feel very xin ku these few days... enough le...

Okie.. I go sleep le.

Congrats Yuling and Chun Chong!!!

Yuling gave birth to a handsome baby boy this morning (100% Yuling's boy cos he looks exactly like Yuling). But dunno what happened to me... I actually forgot to take picture of the baby boy!!!! SANG NAO JING!

I reached NUH around 2.30pm. Yuling was sound asleep and she looked real shacked lo. I think my dragging of chair woke her up and she managed to talk to us (me and Yuzhen) despite feeling really tired.

She relived her moments of 'torture' and told us the pain and agony she went through in the labour ward. I thought I went through the worst la. But I think Yuling suffered more.

Me only had to suffer 12 hours of pain before QiQi came to this world. I had my epidural so the pain was greatly reduced (but still pain la). Eventually I managed to give birth naturally without much problem.

But poor Yuling... She suffered for the full 17 hours before gynae announced that she was ready to give birth. She had her epidural too (this is a must la...) but she could still feel the pain. The worst was yet to come.

Yuling pushed for 1 and a half hour but her little baby was not co-operative. Her gynae then told her that the baby was not facing the correct way. This obstructed the baby from coming out. So they had no choice but to go for C-section instead. Yuling got so upset with it. After enduring the pain for soooo long... she ended up doing C-section. That's double pain, I tell you. Poor Yuling. No wonder she looked so shacked.

That's not all lo. Throughout the agonising 17 long hours, she had no food at all. She must be hungry like siao lo... cos I remembered me asking for food in the labour ward... wahahaha... really very hungry.

As if not hungry enough, Yuling's gynae told her that she could not have any intake until 5pm the same afternoon. So that's a total of 26 hours of no food!!! Hiyoh... already in pain liao still cannot drink and cannot eat... Ke lian de Yuling.

Yuling said she dare not go through this the second time. She really admire our mothers for giving birth to us without the use of epidural.

I totally agree with her on this. How could our mothers give birth to us without using epidural??? The contraction is really unbearable lo. Jennifer aka Ah Ma once told me that my tolerance level of pain is high. I myself think so too leh... but when it comes to birth contraction, I really buay tahan. So my tolerance level not that high afterall as compared to those powerful women who did not use epidural during delivery.

Whatever it is, women are really the best thing God has ever created... wahahahaha... but why God only allows women to give birth??? Men must also do something wat...

I once read or watched from somewhere that it is impossible for a man to be pregnant cos there is no womb (to 'store' the baby) and no umbilical cord (for the baby to receive the necessary nutrients). But I thought nothing is impossible in this world de? If men can travel to Mars and animals can be cloned, I'm sure those nothing-to-do scientists can come up with ways to get the men fertilised...

Back to giving birth. My friend, Huixian aka Queen of Siao La La is up next for delivery. I wish her a smooth delivery then. Come to think of it, 95% of my Secondary School friends are married with kids le.

How time flies. 想当年we were carrying big bags and thick files to school. Now, we are all MaMas le.
